Sage Software “2005 Record Year”

Sage SoftwareOur friends at Sage Software have reported that in 2005, Sage’s revenues grew to $585 Million in North America in 2005. The Sage Group plc, parent of Sage Software, reported revenues of $1.4 billion (US) for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2005, representing an increase of ~14% over the previous year. Operational profits also increased ~14% to nearly $391 million.

So, what is the reason behind Sage Software’s nice bump in revenues?

“Our business continues to grow on the strength of our unwavering focus on the needs of small and mid-sized businesses and on our key assets — an expanding customer base, innovative software designed to accommodate our customers’ needs for today and growth for tomorrow, and a North America-wide network of high quality business partners,” said Sage Software CEO Ron Verni.

The North American revenue portion represented 41% of Sage Group plc’s global revenues. Overal, margins in N/A grew to 23% from 22% in the prior year.

Sage software offers small and mid-sized businesses a range of business management applications geared towards industry-specific needs. Sage focuses on non-profits, manufacturers, distributors, construction real estate and the accounting industries.
