Microsoft to Take on Salesforce.com…Again
Apparently Steve Ballmer (CEO of Microsoft) is talking down to Salesforce.com this week saying that they will be giving their “smaller” competitor a run for their money in the hosted CRM market. But, Salesforce.com doesn’t seem to be too worried, at least not publicly. Salesforce.com CEO, Marc Benioff, commented in a recent article that Microsoft has been competing with Salesforce.com for nearly 8 years and that while MS is on their 3rd generation of their CRM solution, Salesforce.com is on their 18th.
You can say what you want, but I would not want to be called out by Microsoft’s CEO who is saying, “we are coming to kick your ass.” My 2 cents.
